Pictus Safaris specialises in small-group safaris, but we can also offer all of our tours on a private basis, either with a tour leader or without.
We also offer an extensive range of 'express' tours, which offer the luxury of a private departure combined with the convenience of a shorter itinerary that takes you to the heart of the action.
Here at Pictus Safaris we are unashamedly small-group safari specialists. The majority of our tours run with between three and six clients, in addition to one (or sometimes two) expert tour leaders from Pictus Safaris. These tours allow us to keep costs as low as possible, whilst also ensuring that clients can share their fantastic safari experience with like-minded travellers from across the world.
However, we know from experience that many clients prefer to travel privately, allowing for a fully tailormade safari designed to meet the precise needs of each client. Understandably, such tailormade safaris come at an increased cost, but many clients find that this is well worth it! Every single one of tours can be customised and amended for a tailormade, private safari experience, and is available with or without an expert tour leader from Pictus Safaris. As pan-African specialists, don't hesitate to reach out to us even if the destination in which you are interested is not on our website - we are constantly working to develop new itineraries, and we may well be able to offer a tour to your chosen destination even if we are not yet advertising it.
We know that COVID-19 has been tough for everyone, and the inability to travel internationally is hardly the greatest tragedy of the pandemic. Now that international travel is re-opening, many clients have told us that they are struggling to find gaps in their diaries for some of our itineraries due to their postponed holidays from 2020 and 2021. With this in mind, we have launched a series of 'express' itineraries. These tours are designed to be run privately, taking clients to the heart of a wilderness area as quickly as possible. Lasting around a week, each tour offers fly-in access and private game drives wherever available, as well as a high standard of accommodation. Available with or without a dedicated tour leader from Pictus Safaris, these tours are a guaranteed way to make the very most of the time you have in Africa. Again, these tours are fully customisable and can be tailored to your specific interests.
